Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary H. Miles, and a half-brother, Frank F. Orndorff. After moving to Charleston, SC, he was placed on “watchcare” at New Zion Reformed United Methodist Episcopal Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Daniel Green. He served as a trustee, member of the Male Choir, and bass guitar player for the Music Ministry until his health declined. On April 10, 1981, Mackie married his bride, Mary R. Lewis. He was a loving husband, father, and doting grandfather. Mackie was the proud father of three children; one of whom preceded in him death, Mackie Eaddy.
