The 1795 Silver Plug version is the most coveted of all 1795 Flowing Hair Dollar varieties, and the 1795 Two Leaves variety is scarcer than the Three Leaves variety in all grades. The Flowing Hair Half Dime was actually the first silver coin worth five cents but it was the second half dime created.

The first half dimes to be struck in the United States were the famous half dismes of 1792. These coins were produced before an actual mint building had been erected, but they were made by official Mint personnel. A total of 1500 were issued from dies which are thought to have been designed and engraved by British medalist William Russell Birch. It seems that production had been expected to begin in the previous year and a number of obverse and reverse dies had been prepared. For an unknown reason, but most likely lack of silver or an unfinished design, the start of production had been postponed until the following year. The 1794 Half Dime was the first year that this denomination was made inside the new United States Mint, thus this date carries a premium with type collectors. The 1794 Half Dime has a low mintage and is very scarce in all conditions.

Though not extremely expensive at grades of Good to Fine, prices climb steadily in grades above that, soaring once one gets to Choice Mint State and finer. Robert Scot modified the design of the first half dime, using a Liberty portrait similar to the one appearing on 1794 Liberty Cap cents and half cents but without the cap and pole. The new design appears not only on the half dimes but also on half dollar and silver dollar coins, reflecting a Mint policy of the time that all silver coins share a common design. Because these early circulating coins were valued by weight, no denomination appears on the coin, though HALF DISME appears on a unique copper pattern created by Scot. Created from my imagination, this is the second floor of the charming two-story home of the Griffins -- Lois, Peter, Stewie, Meg, Chris and Brian. In Lois and Peter's room, we find Lois' role playing costumes in the closet. Stewie's room has lovely built-in bookcases that contain his instruments of world domination which sit near his changing table.

Fueled by its resurgence, Fox picked up the show again and premiered Season 4 in May 2005. Creator and executive producer Seth MacFarlane voices Peter Griffin, Stewie and Brian; Alex Borstein voices Lois; Seth Green voices Chris; Mila Kunis voices Meg; and Arif Zahir voices Cleveland Brown. Payne’s mother died when he was 4, which made his father a particularly big presence in his life. One of his early childhood memories is being in a van, with its sound system blaring a city council campaign announcement for his uncle, William Payne — who would later serve in the state Assembly. Over wine and cheese, the four stars discussed their finest memories of working on the series, including when William H. Macy auditioned to voice Brian.

Lois falls in love with it, and suggests he meet with network executives about producing the show. While the initial casting session goes well, with Elijah Wood auditioning for the lead, the producers assigned by the executives also bring in James Woods, who performs the role in a more comedic fashion, winning over the executives. Brian's serious drama is turned into a sitcom, bringing in a live studio audience as well as a chimpanzee, and renaming it Class Holes. When Brian objects to the changes, the producers remind him of what he had tried to achieve for many years—his own television show—and threaten to fire him if he objects to the changes. Disappointed that Brian allowed the executives to change his show so drastically, Lois demands that he stand up for himself and object to everything James Woods changed about the show.
